A friend of mine sent me a question about packing light and I realized that I hadn't posted my packing list for Italy! My husband and I were there for two weeks to celebrate our 10th anniversary. I made a little slide show that pictures all my clothes and how I put together outfits while we traveled. You can see even more photos in my Flickr album.

We went from Bormio (Alps) to Rome so the temps were everywhere from the 40s to the 80s! Layering was essential. Also, in Cinque Terre, our hotel was at the top of a hill where we had to climb many flights of old stone steps. We saw a girl struggling with a huge roller bag up a hill, following an sprightly old Italian guy to her hotel, who was highly unsympathetic to her situation. You can see one of the photos I have my Aeronaut strapped to my back, which made traveling up and down hills, on trains, and everywhere a breeze. I'm seriously obsessed with that bag and can't imagine traveling with anything else! We did some sink laundry, and we also had a washing machine in Rome, which made doing laundry easier. I wear a lot of wool, which will stay fresh smelling for more than a day of wear, and also dries super quickly.
I've attached an updated version of my packing list. If it's not on the list it doesn't go!
