One of the classes I teach is called Slow Burn. It's a vinyasa class that we slow down by slowing down the pace of the breath, and we also dim the lights and invite students to keep their eyes closed. As you can imagine, this adds an interesting challenge for balance, so the flows are way more grounded and the focus is on taking your awareness more deeply inward, so you can really connect with the experience of moving and breathing in your own body without worrying about what you might look like or what anyone else in the room is up to.
So here's a sample of what the beginning of that class might look like: A short flow to warm up hips and back, to connect movement and breath, and to start to generate a little heat from the core. Enjoy!
