Mind has been blown

Last night, I went to my one of my favorite local bellydance events, DC's Tribal Cafe.

My mind was blown by a jaw-dropping performance by Frank Farinaro. He was the first male bellydancer to perform at Tribal Cafe and he brought the house down! Amazing! As if his precise technique wasn't enough, he has fantastic expression, and this amazing, wild energy. I love it! Overall an inspiring evening!

I'm glad it was good, we were

I'm glad it was good, we were marching and playing at the Lantern Parade. This makes me realize, I have to get over my anti-solo-tribal-fusion thing because right now I'm having trouble seeing the dancing/dancer through the dance. I need some transcendent dance moments!

I'm bummed that I missed the

I'm bummed that I missed the lantern parade, but I'm so glad I went to TC. It was seriously the best solo I have seen in a very long time! I've been craving some transcendent dance moments myself.
